'I'm stuck at the precinct,' Serith admitted. 'Lessa, they are involved in the Purge. As is the mayor.'

'So then I'll talk with Ortis, stay safe.' Lessa messaged him back and immediately rushed for Ortis' office.

Oddly Ortis was absent and his office was locked. While she was near the door Sabine slowly made his way around the corner and toward her. He still looked very weak and shaky.

"What are you doing up and do you know where father is?" Lessa asked as she spotted him, she was concerned by all of this.

"He said that he was attending a meeting with the mayor earlier, " Sabine explained as he tried to discretely brace himself against the wall. "Why?"

"Crap, the mayor is part of the Purge. We might not see him again, what are we going to do?" Lessa asked frantically.

"What?" Sabine's eyes widened as he looked at her. "Are you sure? How do you know that?"

"Serith, he just texted me from the precinct and I trust his judgement. What are we going to do?" Lessa asked again.

Sabine frowned deeply for a moment before he spoke. "We have to get out of here immediately, get to a safehouse. We'll take Storm."

"Can't, her breaks still haven't been fixed. We can take Frostbite, come on," Lessa said as she turned to go and grab the keys, right now it was their best shot.

Sabine frowned but reluctantly followed her. Shortly after they stepped into the car the radio buzzed and the girl from earlier spoke. "Take Mission street down to the docks. Board the cargo ship."

"You don't have a choice, " The girl pointed out. Beside her Sabine was quietly tracking the voice off a recorder on his cell phone.

"Your boss has already been imprisoned by the mayor," the girl admitted. "Your cop friend will be unable to leave the station without getting found out. And your other two racers are currently being searched for by the police. "

"I am unable to currently, " the girl admitted. "I cannot break my cover."

Sabine suddenly smirked and briefly showed his phone to Lessa, on which a small town in Canada was highlighted.

Lessa nodded, "then we will contact them. They are family and they need to be taken out as well before anything can happen to them."

"That is fine, " the girl agreed. Surprisingly they were able to make it to the boat with no trouble at all.

As soon as they got to the boat Lessa called West, she had to get him and his family out first.

West had been at a grocery store when he answered her call. He was shocked by the information and tried to rush home but by the time he arrived his house was trashed and his family gone.

When Lessa called Reid the other man raced to West's house, he knew it was important to get his family out. He pulled up just after West and rushed into the house, "what happened here?"
